William Sinclair is the Chairman of Emkaan Investments Ltd and sits on several other Investment Committees. He has 30 years of professional experience. Previously he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of a well known British Bank. Prior to this, he was also a Partner at McKinsey & Company operating globally, providing consulting services to corporate and private equity clients on strategy, performance improvement, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. William Sinclair is responsible for the day to day running of the firm business, modification and all merger and acquisition protocols. He has a long experience with the British offshore banking regulations, Hedge Funds and Due Diligence reports and submission of final approvals for credit facilities, court notarization and attestations. He also handles project inspections and inventories and advises as a qualified portfolio advisor to the investors. He has extensive experience in advising clients on legal aspects in banking, equity finance, project finance, British debt capital markets, private public initiatives and privatization. His clients include real estate developers, blue chip companies, banks, government institutions and private entities/investors. Over the past 10 years, William Sinclair has practiced globally and has established a very trusted partnership with some high net worth individuals and investors who rely on his connections to engage in private and public partnership ventures and project investments and debt financing.
Louis Atkinson has over 25 years experience in international business across financial services, banking and renewable energy. He joined Emkaan Investments Ltd from HSBC Bank where he was a member of the Group's Executive Committee. He previously held positions as Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director at other firms in Europe. He brings with him more than 25 years of corporate finance experience. Louis Atkinson has gained all-round knowledge in respect of the development of England financial service industry and has established a strong network through working with both international and local financial companies in England. He holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction in Finance; a Master of Science in Computer, Information & Control Engineering; and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Murat Sahin joined Emkaan Investments Ltd on April 2014 and holds the role of Business Development Manager. He is instrumental in various aspects of the business from deal origination, execution, portfolio management and formulating exit strategies. Mr. Murat Sahin has been integrally involved in several Emkaan Investments Ltd investments in the Oil & Gas, Consumer, Renewable Energy, Mining and engineering industries. He is actively involved in both deal execution and portfolio management–where he focuses on value creation and performance improvement for the firm. In this role, he leverages his broad and deep experience to focus on accelerating the company's business growth in all markets. He is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director who has worked within the financial services sector for over twenty-five years. Mr. Murat Sahin was the Chief Operating Officer of a British Bank for 12 years. During this time, he led the business through sustained business growth and expansion which included two successful private equity backed management buyouts. Mr. Murat Sahin has over fifteen years’ experience as an executive and non-executive director on regulated corporate structures. He has an MBA from Manchester University and a BA in Accounting from the University of Michigan.
James Reid currently holds the role of Chief Financial Officer in Emkaan Investments Ltd, overseeing the Finance, Treasury and External Portfolio functions. As the Chief Financial Officer, Serkan is responsible for implementing effective financial policies and controls, financial reporting to relevant stakeholders in addition to developing, implementing and managing an optimal capital structures that effectively meets short term liquidity needs and long term strategic objectives. His 32-year professional career covers corporate finance and capital markets fields, where he has both built and expanded related businesses including office or alliance setup in New York, Dubai and Tokyo. Besides extensive involvement in M&A, Privatization, JV and Private Equity advisory, Serkan has also developed and managed equity/bond underwriting operations as well as institutional cash equity trading desks. In addition to his pioneering experience in Private Equity projects in England, Serkan took part in the establishing England's first and largest Private Equity Fund between 2010-2013 and served seven years as a Member of the Investment Committee. After working at Finansbank, Euroturk Bank (JV of Indosuez, ABN Amro, Generale Bank), Serkan initiated establishment of Investment Banking Units of Ata Invest. After nearly 19 years at Ata Invest, Serkan transferred to Deloitte Corporate Finance in 2009, became the Lead Partner of M&A and also served as Lead Japanese Services, England and Deloitte Global M&A ExCom Member. James Reid also served as a Board Member at the Corporate Governance Association (“TKYD”) and is a Founding Member and President of the Board Directors Association. Currently, serves as Independent Board Member in four listed companies in England and within Kordsa, serves as Chair of Corporate Governance, Audit and member of Early Risk Detection Committees.
